Woman robbed at gunpoint during Facebook Marketplace sale in Brooklyn Park




Park, Brooklyn, Md. According to Anne Arundel County Police, a 20-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday night while trying to sell something on Facebook Marketplace.

After the victim claimed being robbed earlier in the 5200 block of Kramme Avenue in Brooklyn Park, officers arrived at the 1000 block of Cayer Drive in Glen Burnie at around 7:40 p.m. According to the police, the woman was confronted by two male suspects, one of whom was armed and wearing a ski mask.

Before leaving the area, the suspects stole the item the victim was planning to sell. According to authorities, the victim was unharmed in the event.

Northern District detectives are looking into the robbery and ask anyone with information to call 410-222-6135 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

Additionally, authorities urged citizens to use police district stations’ Safe Transaction Zones for face-to-face transactions set up through internet marketplaces.
