The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking assistance from the public to identify two individuals involved in an armed carjacking incident. One of the suspects is believed to be a young individual, possibly as young as 10 years old, according to investigators.
Authorities released a video capturing the individuals allegedly involved in a series of carjackings in North Philadelphia. The incidents, which occurred between Aug. 16 and Aug. 22, involved the suspects brandishing firearms.
On the evening of August 16, two individuals approached a person who was seated outside their vehicle on Girard Avenue.
According to authorities, the individuals approached the victim on foot and forcibly took his vehicle while brandishing a handgun. According to police, on Aug. 18, two individuals reportedly approached a man who was sitting in his vehicle on W. Cumberland Street around 2 a.m.
According to reports, the individuals in question were in possession of a firearm at the time they seized control of the gentleman’s automobile.
Both individuals were captured on camera heading towards Cumberland Street. At approximately 4:45 a.m. on August 21, the third incident occurred on W. Ontario Street.

According to authorities, the individual was peacefully seated in their stationary vehicle when a group of individuals approached them. The suspects proceeded to tap on the window using a firearm and then proceeded to take possession of the vehicle.
The suspects were reportedly involved in an auto crash on Allegheny Avenue with the vehicle taken during the second incident, before robbing victim number three of his vehicle, according to the police.
Early in the morning on August 22nd, a 74-year-old woman was on her way to her vehicle when she was approached by two individuals, according to the police.
A woman was reportedly assaulted and robbed of her belongings by the suspects. According to authorities, one of the suspects was reportedly in possession of a semi-automatic handgun.
A suspect fitting the description is a 17-year-old boy who stands at a height of 5 feet 8 inches. According to the police, the second suspect is a young black male with puffy hair, standing at a height of 4 feet 8 inches.
Authorities are advising the public to refrain from approaching the individuals in question and to promptly contact emergency services at 911.
