A tragic incident occurred in southern Kentucky early Sunday morning, as an 83-year-old man was discovered deceased from a gunshot wound, as reported by Kentucky State Police.
At approximately 12:30 a.m., KSP Post 3 promptly responded to a request for assistance from the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office at 656 The Bridge Road.
Upon arrival at the residence, authorities discovered the lifeless body of Ernest Cline from Bowling Green, who had been fatally shot while in bed.
Authorities have apprehended Damien Worrell, an 18-year-old individual, in relation to a shooting incident. Worrell has been charged with murder and robbery.
Worrell is currently in custody at the Hart County Detention Center.
The investigation is still underway.
