Two lucky New Yorkers celebrate Powerball wins

New York’s Bronx In the Dec. 21 drawing, two New York Powerball players won $50,000 apiece after matching four white balls and the red Power Ball.

The winning tickets were offered for sale at Cards & Gifts, 2140 Middle Country Road, Centereach, Suffolk County, and H & Q Lin, 626 Courtlandt Avenue, Bronx.

For the Dec. 21 drawing, the winning numbers were chosen from a pool of one through 26 for the red Power Ball and one through 69 for the white balls. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m., there are Powerball drawings.

Winners of Powerball prizes have a year from the date of the drawing to come forward and claim their prize.

With a chance to win $103 million in the upcoming drawing, the multi-state Powerball jackpot keeps rising.
