Washington, D.C. According to police, a handgun-wielding man stole money from the register during a Sunday afternoon robbery of a Southeast business.
The event happened in the 3200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast, at around 2:18 p.m. on December 29. The suspect demanded money from the register after entering the business, brandishing a gun, and pointing it at an employee.
The culprit left the area after taking the money. The culprit was photographed by local surveillance cameras, and police have made the footage available to aid in their hunt.
Police are asking anyone with information on the heist or the culprit to call (202) 727-9099 or text 50411 with an anonymous tip. For information that results in an arrest and conviction, a reward of up to $10,000 is being given.
