Newark police seek suspect in armed robbery near Hedden Terrace

Newark, New Jersey. In order to identify a suspect in the armed robbery and assault that occurred on December 11 close to Hedden Terrace and Clinton Avenue, authorities are requesting the public’s help.

At around 6:17 p.m., the suspect came up behind the victim, pointed a gun, and declared the robbery, according to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. After assaulting the victim, the suspect fled into Mildred Helms Park on foot.

In connection with the incident, police have made the suspect’s image public and are aggressively looking for information to help identify him.

A suspect in an armed robbery has escaped into Newark’s Mildred Helms Park and is still at large.
