Brooklyn and Tonawanda stores sell top-prize Take 5 tickets

Brooklyn, New York Two first-place awards The New York Lottery said on Sunday that five tickets, worth $8,902.50 each, had been sold for the midday drawing on January 6.

The winning tickets were bought at Tops Markets, which is located at 890 Young Street in Tonawanda, and Stop One Supermarket, which is located at 4023 Church Avenue in Brooklyn.

Five participants choose numbers from a range of 1 to 39, and drawings are held twice a day at 10:30 and 2:30 p.m. The winners can pick up their reward within a year of the drawing date.

The New York Lottery continues to be the most lucrative lottery in North America, having brought in $3.8 billion for public schools in fiscal year 2023–2024.
