$50K Powerball ticket sold in Parkville as jackpot climbs to $263 million

Parkville, Maryland In the January 8 drawing, a Parkville-purchased Powerball ticket matched enough numbers to earn a $50,000 third-tier jackpot, Maryland Lottery officials said Thursday.

The winning ticket was offered for sale at J Convenience, which is situated in Parkville at 8765 Satyr Hill Road. With a Powerball of 24 and a Power Play multiplier of x2, the numbers that were drawn were 1, 20, 36, 38, and 43.

After a $100,000 third-tier victory on January 1, this is Maryland’s first $50,000 Powerball winner for 2025. In the January 8 Powerball drawing, 10,261 Maryland players took home rewards ranging from $4 to $100.

Since no player won the jackpot, the top prize in Saturday’s drawing on January 11 is projected to be $263 million in an annuity or $117.7 million in cash.

Within 182 days following the drawing, the lottery encourages all winners to sign the backs of their tickets, keep them safe, and claim their winnings.
