Pitcairn man charged in double stabbing incident, police say

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Authorities claimed that a 65-year-old man has been charged in relation to a stabbing incident that occurred Monday night in the 300 block of Broadway Boulevard and injured two individuals.

After receiving reports of the assault at 7:16 p.m., Allegheny County 9-1-1 dispatched first responders, who discovered a 67-year-old male and the 65-year-old suspect with non-life-threatening stab wounds. According to authorities, both males are in stable condition after being taken to a nearby hospital.

After taking over the case, the General Investigations Unit of the Allegheny County Police Department began looking into the events leading up to the altercation.

Detectives found via their investigation that the altercation that resulted in the injuries was started by Barry Bishop, 65.

According to authorities, Bishop is now charged with aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.
