Suspect at large after thwarted robbery near Northwest DC residence

Washington, DC Police are looking for the community’s assistance in identifying a person who attempted to rob two victims as they entered a Northwest Washington, DC, home on Wednesday afternoon.

The event happened in the 1900 block of Calvert Street NW on January 8 at around 12:27 p.m. The victims claimed that the suspect demanded goods and tried to follow them into the house. The suspect left the scene when the victims refused to comply.

The suspect was photographed by surveillance cameras, and authorities have made the images public in an attempt to identify the person.

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect or the crime to text tips to 50411 or call (202) 727-9099, according to the police. Information that leads to an arrest and indictment might result in a reward of up to $1,000.
