Ocean County man held without bail on cyber harassment and stalking charges

Ocean County resident Thomas Hayes was arrested on January 9, 2025, and is being held without bail on suspicion of stalking and online harassment in Toms River, New Jersey.

Authorities claim that Hayes harassed and stalked the same victim online on multiple occasions, which led to more serious charges because of his past transgressions.

Middlesex County Probation has also filed a detainer, suggesting that Hayes may be subject to further legal repercussions for violating his probation.

While the inquiry is ongoing, Hayes is still being held at the Ocean County Jail.
