Pa.’s Allentown.When a noose-like item was discovered on a City Hall employee’s desk early on Friday morning, the Allentown Police Department opened an investigation.
On January 10, 2025, at approximately 7:30 a.m., police were alerted to the occurrence. Although authorities have confirmed the item closely resembled a noose, they have not disclosed any information regarding the employee or the circumstances surrounding the finding.
According to a statement from the department, this issue is being investigated thoroughly and is being treated seriously.
Authorities are asking anyone with knowledge to call the Criminal Investigations Division of the Allentown Police Department at 610-437-7721 or use Tip411 to provide anonymous tips.
While the inquiry is ongoing, no additional information has been made public.
Concerns have been raised by the discovery as investigators try to ascertain whether the conduct was meant to be intimidating or threatening.
