Driver killed in single-car crash in Middletown Township

Pennsylvania’s Middleton Township. According to authorities, a woman passed away after a single-car collision in Middletown Township on Saturday night.

After receiving multiple reports of a car crash, officers arrived at the intersection of Brownsville Road and South Buckthorne Avenue at approximately 6:30 p.m. When they arrived, they saw a white Hyundai Elantra in the eastbound lane of Brownsville Road that had slammed up against a raised berm.

When authorities arrived, the lifeless driver was being given cardiopulmonary resuscitation by nearby residents. The driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was taken to a local hospital and declared dead, according to the police.

The woman’s identity is being withheld by the authorities until her next of kin has been notified. The Middletown Township Police Traffic Safety Unit is still looking into what caused the collision.
