Registered sex offender arrested for not reporting new address in Ocean County

New Jersey’s Toms River. After being accused of neglecting to inform law enforcement of a change in address, which is required by New Jersey’s sex offender registration rules, a man was imprisoned in Ocean County.

According to Ocean County jail records, 29-year-old Noel Angle Pacheco was taken into custody on Thursday and is currently being held without the possibility of release. N.J.S.A. 2C:7-2D, a fourth-degree offense that pertains to registered sex offenders who disregard obligatory notification procedures, is the only charge against him.

According to court records, the charge is related to an incident that occurred with case number w20240014661507. Although the specifics of the alleged infraction have not been made public, New Jersey law requires sex offenders to report any changes in their employment, address, or other circumstances to the authorities.

Pacheco’s jail records do not include any aliases or detainers. Pending additional court processes, he is still being held without bond and has a no bail status listed for the case.
