North Bergen, New Jersey. Local emergency services responded quickly to a fire that started on the 28th level of a high-rise building at 8200 Boulevard East on Friday morning. The fire has since been put out after the North Hudson Regional Fire Department, North Bergen Police, and emergency medical services arrived at around 10:00 a.m.
As a precaution, authorities confirmed that the only occupant of the impacted apartment was taken to a nearby hospital. Although there was no need for evacuations, firefighters are still present to keep an eye out for hot spots and make sure the area is completely secured.
Drivers have been warned to stay off Bulls Ferry Road due to the dangers posed by ice conditions brought on by water runoff. After the fire brigade has finished its work, the brigade of Public Works in North Bergen is ready to remediate the area.
