Winona, MinnesotaGreetings, friend! There are new possibilities and optimism for the future now. Know this if you have been struggling with addiction: God is not finished with you. Behind the scenes, he is bringing freedom and healing into your life. His grace is more than sufficient to see you through, and His love for you is unwavering.
Let me remind you that guilt and shame are not what define you, even if you have been burdened by them. As God’s child, you were made with potential and a purpose. You get closer to the freedom God has already promised with each step you take in faith.
So, keep trying! No matter what obstacles you encounter, God’s power is greater. We’ll pray together to begin the day, asking Him to give you the courage and serenity you need to go through. He is right here with you, supporting you at every turn.
Prayer for Overcoming Addiction
Thank You, Heavenly Father, for the gift of Your presence and for this new day. As I listen to this prayer, I raise up my brother or sister. You can see their heart, their hardships, and their will to kick the habit. Today, I pray that You will envelop them in Your serenity and love.
Lord, give them the fortitude to withstand temptation and direct their course toward liberty. Remind them that they are never alone by using Your Word and your promises. Give them the strength to ask for assistance, rely on others, and completely trust in You while also protecting their mind, body, and spirit.
We are grateful for the victory You have already planned for them, Father. Remind them of the amazing purpose You have for their lives and bless their path today. In the powerful name of Jesus, we proclaim peace, healing, and freedom. Amen.
