Severe Fog Warning: Low Visibility on I-35 as San Antonio Faces Storms Into Wednesday

San Antonio TX Through Wednesday, San Antonio and the neighboring areas may have heavy fog and thunderstorms, making travel dangerous. On I-35 and local roads, drivers should be ready for slick conditions and decreased visibility.

The National Weather Service predicts widespread, deep fog through Wednesday morning, particularly before nine in the morning. In certain places, visibility can fall below a quarter-mile. By the afternoon, when the high is close to 83 degrees Fahrenheit, the thunderstorms will gradually clear off.

The majority of Wednesday night will be cloudy, with lows of 42 degrees Fahrenheit. With gusts of up to 25 mph, winds will change from the northeast to the southwest.

Looking forward, Thursday’s sky will be partly sunny with highs of about 51 degrees Fahrenheit, while Friday will be largely overcast with temperatures rising to 61 degrees. Sunny skies and highs that reach the 70s are signs of a warmer weekend.

When there is fog, drivers should be extra cautious and give themselves more time to get there. As storms and shifting winds continue to build, residents should continue to be weather-aware.
