North Texas Cold Snap: Lows in the 20s Tonight, 50s Return Friday

Fort Worth, TexasTemperatures in North Texas will be in the 20s and 30s tonight before getting warmer on Friday.

Overnight, there will be more clouds, but there will also be a warming trend, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. Throughout the region, lows will drop to the upper 20s and lower 30s. Highs will be in the 50s by Friday.

Overnight temperatures in Gainesville and DFW should be between 29 and 32 degrees Fahrenheit. At 33 degrees Fahrenheit, Waco and Killeen will remain marginally warmer. The temperature on Friday will be between 50°F in Gainesville and 57°F in Cisco and Graham.

The frigid temperatures will subside over the weekend as the warming trend continues. Although there won’t be any precipitation, visibility may be impacted by growing clouds.

In addition to wearing warm clothing, residents should shield their plants and pets from the cold.
