Eugene, OregonOn Thursday, rain showers will persist throughout Eugene, followed by a brief taste of spring during a weekend warm-up.
The National Weather Service predicts that Thursday will bring a respite from the ongoing rain with partly clear skies and a high of 52 F. There is a slim chance of showers on Friday, though, and by Saturday, rain is probably going to return with a high of 56 F. Lows will be in the 40s overnight.
With cloudy skies and a persistent threat of rain, temperatures will gradually rise to around 59 degrees Fahrenheit by Sunday. An arctic front is moving out, bringing with it milder weather into next week, as seen by this warming trend.
Wet roads and sporadic gusty gusts might affect driving, especially on major routes like I-5, so drivers should exercise caution. Although Wednesday saw winds of up to 20 mph, the weekend is predicted to bring calmer conditions.
Looking ahead, the pattern of overcast skies and comfortable temperatures is expected to continue in the early part of next week, with Monday probably seeing showers. During Thursday’s brief respite from precipitation, residents should have rain gear on hand.
