Ohio Valley Winter Weather Alert: Snow Expected Through 11 AM Thursday

Cincinnati, OHA The Ohio Valley is still under a winter weather advisory, and snow is predicted to make driving dangerous until Thursday morning.

As of 11 a.m. Thursday, parts of Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky will continue to get snowfall, according to Wilmington’s National Weather Service. One to two inches of accumulation is anticipated, which could cause slick roadways, bridges, and overpasses.

Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, as well as portions of northern Kentucky and southeast Indiana, are among the main metro areas covered by the advisory. Expect slower travel and potential delays, particularly during the Thursday morning rush.

On slippery roadways, officials advise vehicles to slow down and exercise caution. Before leaving, state transportation departments advise examining the state of the roads: Travelers in Indiana should check 511in.org, drivers in Ohio can visit ohgo.com, and residents of Kentucky can receive information at goky.ky.gov.

By late morning, the winter system should be gone, and by the afternoon, things should be getting better. However, some routes may remain ice due to persistently low temperatures.
