West Virginia Weather Alert: Rain Arrives Tuesday Before Winter Threat Returns Later This Week

Charleston, West VirginiaBefore further winter weather arrives later in the week, warmer temperatures will bring rain to West Virginia early in the week.

The National Weather Service says Tuesday’s high will be close to 55 degrees Fahrenheit, and there is a 30% chance of rain between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Charleston. Overnight, the temperature will drop as cooler air moves in. With highs barely reaching the upper 40s by Friday, a combination of rain and snow is possible.

With highs in the low to mid-50s, Sunday and Monday will continue to be largely sunny. However, there is a 70% probability of rain from Wednesday night through Thursday. As colder air creeps in, drivers should prepare for slick roads by the end of the week.

Early in the week, temperatures will stay pleasant, but by Thursday, things should start to change. As winter weather persists, stay informed with the most recent forecasts.
