A lady died and a man was critically injured in a one-car accident in the Medical District, according to the Memphis Police Department.
According to MPD, officers were dispatched to Vance Avenue in the Medical District shortly before 5:00 p.m. Thursday for a one-car incident, where they discovered a man and woman with critical injuries.
According to police, both were sent to Regional One for treatment, but the woman died as a result of her injuries.
During their investigation, MPD stated that they discovered that the car had transmission problems and rolled, resulting in the injuries. According to police, the occurrence was characterized as an unintentional injury.
