As a result of consumer complaints regarding wood-like material, including “one potential choking incident,” Nestlé USA has decided to recall frozen dinners from Stouffer’s and Lean Cuisine, which are distributed by major retailers in the United States.
The warning was released by the United States Food and Drug Administration.
Nestlé USA has stated that the recall was initiated as a result of consumers contacting the firm about the issue. The company also stated that it is conducting an investigation into the origin of the questionable material and has taken measures to address it.
According to the notice that was published by the FDA on Tuesday, the recall will affect frozen meals such as Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli, Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Ravioli, Lean Cuisine Lemon Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry, and Stouffer’s Party Size Chicken Lasagna.
These meals were manufactured between September 2024 and March 2025.
A total of fifty states and the District of Columbia were among the locations where the recalled products were sold at Walmart stores. Both the Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli and the Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Ravioli were among the goods that were recalled by Kroger. These two products were offered at Kroger shops located in a number of states.

Customers who have purchased the frozen dinners that have been recalled should not consume them but rather return them to the store where they were acquired in order to receive a refund or a replacement product.
