Baltimore man busted for robbing woman’s phone in Glen Burnie


GLEN BURNIE, MD

— A Baltimore man is facing charges after police say he forcibly took a woman’s phone during an early morning encounter in Glen Burnie on Sunday.

Officers were called to the 200 block of Ritchie Lane around 6 a.m. for a report of a citizen robbery. The victim, an adult woman, told police the suspect, an acquaintance, took her phone by force.

Police later located the suspect near Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and 8th Avenue. He was identified as 23-year-old Kason Saddiq Hill, of Baltimore.

During questioning, Hill reportedly told officers he had discarded the phone, but officers were unable to locate it during a search of the area.

Hill was taken into custody without incident and charged in connection with the robbery. No injuries were reported.


Suspect remains held as case continues

Authorities confirmed that Hill and the victim were known to each other, though the details of their relationship have not been disclosed. Investigators are not seeking any additional suspects.

As of Wednesday, Hill remains in custody pending further legal proceedings. The case is ongoing.
