WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 15-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday in connection with two separate thefts that took place in Northwest D.C., one dating back more than a year.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the first incident occurred on Saturday, April 26, at about 11:28 a.m. when several suspects entered a business in the 1000 block of F Street NW. The group stole merchandise and fled before officers arrived.
Following a months-long investigation, detectives secured a DC Superior Court Custody Order for one of the suspects involved. On Wednesday, members of the Criminal Apprehension Unit located and arrested the 15-year-old male, a resident of Northwest D.C.
In addition to the April 2024 theft, the juvenile was also charged in a second incident. That case took place on Wednesday, March 19, at approximately 10:20 p.m., in the 3200 block of M Street NW. He faces two charges of First-Degree Theft.
Investigation ongoing as search for other suspects continues
Police have not yet released additional details on the other suspects from either case. The investigation remains active.
