NEW YORK According to authorities, a verbal confrontation in Washington Heights on Friday afternoon resulted in a 58-year-old man being slashed in the chest.
The event happened on June 13 at approximately 12:55 p.m. close to the intersection of Fort Washington Avenue and West 181st Street. Authorities claim that after arguing verbally with the victim, the unidentified suspect took out a knife and slashed him in the chest.
On foot, the suspect left the area and went south on Fort Washington Avenue. The sufferer was attended to on the spot by emergency medical services. According to reports, his injuries were not life-threatening.
Suspect remains at large
According to the description, the suspect is a dark-skinned man who was last seen sporting black trousers, black shoes, and a gray tank top.
Police are looking into local security footage as part of their ongoing investigation into the incident.
