Elderly couple attacked and robbed during home invasion in Queens

Queens, New York. According to police, two unidentified criminals broke into a Flushing residential building early on Wednesday morning, beat an elderly couple, and then stole money from them.

On June 18, at approximately three in the morning, the event took place close to Sanford Avenue and College Point Boulevard. The NYPD said that the suspects broke through the building’s front entrance to gain admission.

After they entered, they violently assaulted a 65-year-old man and a 70-year-old lady, strangling and striking both before stealing about $50 from the man and $700 from the woman.

Suspects fled scene, investigation ongoing

The suspects walked away from the site in an unidentified direction. Although the victims’ heads and necks hurt and were bruised, they declined on-scene medical assistance.

The inquiry is still underway, and no one has been taken into custody. Authorities are examining local CCTV footage and attempting to identify the individuals involved.
