Laurel, M.D.A double shooting occurred Thursday night outside a closed business in Laurel, killing a 36-year-old man from Dundalk and gravely injuring another, according to Prince George’s County Police.
Officers discovered Michael Jordan Thompson with gunshot wounds along the 12000 block of Laurel Bowie Road shortly before 9 p.m. After being brought to a hospital, he passed away shortly after.
During the incident, a second victim—whose identity has not been made public—was also shot. He was taken separately to a nearby hospital, where he is said to be in stable but critical condition.
The Homicide Unit detectives are investigating the shooting’s motive and the circumstances surrounding it.
