Woman assaulted and robbed at Flushing Avenue subway station in early morning attack

Brooklyn, New York.According to authorities, a 26-year-old woman was robbed and beaten early on Saturday morning as she boarded a train headed for Manhattan at the Flushing Avenue subway station.

The incident happened at around 1:02 a.m. when a man suspect who has not been named came up behind the victim, took her handbag, and shoved her to the ground. After repeatedly punching the woman in the face and head, the attacker reportedly fled the scene on foot, according to the police.

The victim was taken by emergency medical services to NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, where she received basic medical attention and was declared stable.

According to police records, the stolen purse and its contents were worth about $390. The stolen property has not been found by the authorities.

The identity of the suspect is unknown.

The suspect is still at large after the subway attack.

The suspect, according to the New York Police Department, is a male who weighs about 160 pounds, is about 5 feet 8 inches tall, and has a black complexion. He was last spotted sporting a black helmet, gray shorts, and a white tank top.

To find the person, investigators are still looking through security material from the Flushing Avenue station and the surrounding regions. So far on Sunday morning, no one has been arrested.

The NYPD is asking anyone with information about the event to get in touch.
