BRONX, N.Y.A 26-year-old man was shot and killedSaturdaymorning inside a residential building in the Crotona Park East section of the Bronx, according to the NYPD.
Officers from the 42nd Precinct responded to a 911 complaint of an attack in progress at 1007-09 East 174th Street at approximately 9:39 a.m. When officers arrived, they discovered Kasiem Johnson with a gunshot wound to his neck, unconscious and unresponsive.
Emergency medical services transported Johnson to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing. Details on the events leading up to the shooting have not been made public by the police.
