Suspect found with illegal gun, body armor held at Ocean County Jail

Justicen Duval Rodriguez, a resident of Toms River, New Jersey, is being held without bond at Ocean County Jail following her indictment on many weapons-related charges, including unlawfully possessing a firearm and body armor.

The arrest of Rodriguez was scheduled for Saturday, June 21. According to jail records, he is charged with four different offenses.

Rodriguez is charged with unlawfully possessing a pistol (N.J.S.A. 2C:39-5B), unlawfully possessing a firearm for banned purposes (2C:39-4D), unlawfully possessing body armor (2C:39-3F(2)), and unlawfully possessing a restricted ammunition magazine (2C:39-3J).

The severe weapons laws in New Jersey apply to all offenses. Third-degree offenses include unlawfully possessing a pistol and using a weapon for illegal purposes; fourth-degree offenses include charges involving magazines and body armor.

No bail or release date has been set.

On June 21, at 8:36 a.m., Rodriguez was arrested and sent to Ocean County Jail. As of Wednesday, the case is still pending and records show he is being held without bond. There is no anticipated date of release.

Rodriguez is described as having brown eyes and black collar-length hair in his inmate profile, but no detainers or aliases are linked to him.

Law enforcement has not disclosed any further information on the circumstances surrounding his arrest or the location of the suspected offenses.
