Ocean County allocates $2.1M for Phase II renovations at Juvenile Detention Center

New Jersey’s Toms River.Ordinance #2025-21, which was sponsored by the Ocean County Board of Commissioners, authorizes $2.1 million in capital funds for the Juvenile Detention Center’s Phase II upgrades in Toms River.

The money will come from the county’s Capital Improvement Fund and be used to modernize the detention center’s infrastructure, operations, and safety procedures.

A component of a multi-phase improvement strategy is renovation.

This most recent appropriation comes after previous facilities enhancements made as part of a larger, phased modernization plan for the center. No precise information about the extent of Phase II modifications was made public right once.

Youth from all around Ocean County are served at the Juvenile Detention Center, which is situated in Toms River Township.
