Baltimore, Maryland.Christopher Banks, 30, was shot and killed in the Northwest District of the city in March. Two individuals have been taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder.
On June 20, U.S. Marshals and investigators from the Baltimore Police Warrant Apprehension arrested Joseph Hubbard, 33, and Darius Bell, 32. The arrests happened at a Baltimore County home.
In relation to the shooting that took place in the 5400 block of Park Heights Avenue on March 15, both suspects were taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility and formally charged.
Investigation Takes Weeks After Shooting
Patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting on Park Heights Avenue at around 9:44 p.m. on the evening of March 15. When they got there, they discovered Banks wounded by a bullet. After being taken to a nearby hospital, he passed away from his wounds.
After more than three months of investigation, Hubbard and Bell were finally identified as the alleged offenders.
Now, Suspects Await Trial
The motivation behind the murder and any relationship between the accused and the victim have not been revealed by the authorities. An important step in the continuing investigation has been taken with the arrests.
Both individuals are still being held until their murder trial.
