Teen troublemakers hijack motorcycle, land in cuffs

Washington, D.C. Two adolescent suspects were apprehended Tuesday night after a carjacking in Northwest Washington, D.C., resulted in the seizure of a motorbike.

The event happened in the 1200 block of U Street, Northwest, shortly before 8:30 p.m. According to reports, two criminals confronted a victim, took their belongings and keys, and then rode off on the victim’s motorcycle.

Officers in the area were able to locate the car and the suspects with the help of MPD’s Real Time Crime Center, which promptly shared pictures and the suspects’ route.

Two teenagers were arrested shortly after the alert, and the carjacked motorcycle was located. Both were linked to the robbery, investigators said.

Two males, ages 13 and 16, from the Southeast and the Northwest, respectively, were arrested. They’ve all been accused of carjacking.

Investigators swiftly followed suspects.
