Premeditated murder charge filed in deadly D.C. attack

Washington, D.C.In relation to the shooting deaths of two individuals, including a minor, during a late-night triple shooting in Southeast last month, a 23-year-old man was taken into custody on Wednesday.

Three individuals had been shot in the 4200 block of 4th Street, Southeast, when emergency personnel arrived on Friday, May 23, at around 10:19 p.m. At the site, two Southeast victims, 16-year-old Royell Walker and 19-year-old Jamar Jackson, were declared dead. A 14-year-old boy who was the third victim was taken to the hospital with potentially fatal injuries.

Sean McFadden, 23, of Southeast, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with First Degree Murder while Armed (Premeditated) in accordance with a DC Superior Court warrant after an investigation by the MPD’s Major Case Squad.

Details on a potential motive or whether more suspects are being sought in relation to the crime have not been made public by investigators.

In a double homicide case, a reward is offered.
