At least 51 people, including 15 children, have died as a result of flash flooding on the Guadalupe River in Central Texas. There are still about twenty-odd students AWOL from Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp exclusively for girls.
The number of fatalities is anticipated to increase when rescuers continue their search of the river on Saturday. Here is everything we currently know about the deceased.
Julian Ryan
Julian Ryan, 27, was sleeping in his mobile home in Ingram, Texas, after from a hard night working as a dishwasher at a neighboring restaurant, when the Guadalupe River arrived at his front door just before dawn on Friday.
The water was ankle deep when he and his fiancée, Christinia Wilson, awoke. His 6-year-old boy and his mother, Marilyn Ryan, had already hurried into the room to seek refuge.
Ms. Wilson claimed that the water had flooded into their front entrance and poured into the house in an instant, reaching their waists. They put their 6-year-old and their 13-month-old kid on top of their mattress since it started to float. The water pressure on the opposite side had stuck the bedroom door shut.
