Republicans and Democrats Call for More Information on Epstein Case

Republicans and Democrats said Sunday that the Justice Department’s request for a federal judge to unseal grand jury testimony about embattled financier Jeffrey Epstein was inadequate and demanded more information be made public.

In a CNN interview, Republican Representative Tim Burchett of Tennessee stated, “I think it’s a good start.” He later stated, however, that he still wished to see the release of as many files as possible.

Some of President Trump’s followers have been harshly critical of his administration’s handling of documents pertaining to Mr. Epstein’s sex trafficking investigations and his ties to influential people on the left and right. While in federal jail awaiting trial on sex-trafficking accusations, Mr. Epstein committed suicide in 2019.

A plethora of case data, including a purported client list that many case participants maintain never existed, were to be made public by Mr. Trump and many of his supporters. However, there were no new disclosures from the records that were released earlier this year. Additionally, the Justice Department concluded that there was no client list and announced last month that it had closed the matter and would not be releasing any more records.

In an interview with Fox News Sunday, Alan Dershowitz, one of Mr. Epstein’s former attorneys, stated that the information that has most intrigued Mr. Trump’s supporters is unlikely to be included in the grand jury hearing.

Trump has urged his supporters to move on. However, when he accused Radical Left Democrats of revealing the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax on Sunday morning, it appeared like he was thinking about the blowback.
