Trump Says Wives of White Dudes for Harris Are Voting For Him, So Are Their Wives’ Lovers

During his skit at the Al Smith dinner in New York City, Donald Trump unleashed a series of jabs at his political opponents, focusing particularly on Vice President Kamala Harris and a group he referred to as “White Dudes for Harris.” In his usual irreverent style, Trump claimed he wasn’t concerned about this group’s support for Harris.

“I’m not worried about them at all because their wives and their wives’ lovers are all voting for me,” he quipped, drawing laughter from the crowd.

The remark, a typical example of Trump’s blend of humor and political barbs, underscored his confidence that he could win over key voter demographics, even those who might publicly support his opponents.

Continuing with his comedic attack, Trump mocked Harris for what he called a disastrous appearance on Fox News. He joked that the interview was so poorly received that Democrats were forced to add more ballot drop boxes across the city.

“It went so poorly for her that the Democrats have been forced to install another 100 drop boxes throughout the city,” he joked, tying his mockery to one of his favorite talking points: the integrity of elections.

Trump also took aim at Harris’ stance on immigration, humorously claiming that the Vice President had suddenly embraced deportation.

“Kamala now sees the benefit of deportation. She wants to deport people, and she wants to start by deporting Brett Baier,” Trump joked, referring to the Fox News anchor who had interviewed her. The line was met with laughter, as Trump painted Harris as an unlikely champion of deportations, poking fun at both her and the media in the same breath.

Trump’s humor took another turn when he addressed the issue of childcare, a topic that has been a significant part of Harris’ campaign platform. Trump claimed that Harris had proposed a plan that many disliked, then took a swipe at her husband, Doug Emhoff.

“The only piece of advice I would have for her, in the event that she wins, would be not to let her husband, Doug, anywhere near the nannies,” Trump said, with his signature grin. He quickly followed up with a mock apology, pretending to chastise his team for giving him the material, calling it “too tough.”

“I told these idiots that gave me this stuff, that’s too tough,” Trump remarked, in an attempt to soften the blow of his joke. The crowd laughed along, but Trump continued, hinting at a misunderstanding from the last time he attended a similar event, back when he was running against Hillary Clinton. “I thought it was a roast,” he said, referencing the sharp remarks he had made during the 2016 campaign. “I was told it’s a roast,” he added, reminding the audience of his unapologetic style when it comes to mixing humor and politics.

Trump’s speech, full of biting jokes and tongue-in-cheek critiques, exemplified his ability to turn serious issues into punchlines, all while keeping his political message clear. His blend of humor, confidence, and controversy once again showed why he remains a captivating, albeit polarizing, figure in American politics.
