Cleveland Resident Strikes Gold with $10K Buckeye Cash Win

CLEVELAND, OH – Kevin Williams, a resident of Cleveland, has secured a substantial win of $10,000 by participating in the Ohio Lottery’s Buckeye Cash scratch-off game.

His winning ticket was acquired at McBills Beverage, and the excitement unfolded shortly after he began scratching the ticket.

Initially, Williams anticipated a modest prize, estimating it to be either $100 or $50. However, as he scratched off the first number revealing $1,000, and subsequently found two more $1,000 prizes, the realization of a significant win dawned on him.

The prospect of winning $10,000 elicited a strong emotional response from Williams.

“I was like, ‘Oh man, I needed it bad. I needed it. It helped me out tremendously,’” he expressed, highlighting the financial relief the prize provided.

Following the deduction of mandatory state and federal taxes, which total 28 percent, Williams is set to take home approximately $7,200.

He indicated plans to utilize his winnings to address pressing financial obligations.
