Young man gunned down on Bruce Place in Southeast D.C


WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 21-year-old man was fatally shot in Southeast D.C. on Monday afternoon, prompting a homicide investigation by the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department.

At approximately 12:35 p.m., officers from the Seventh District responded to the 2700 block of Bruce Place, Southeast, following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds, unconscious and not breathing.

DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services were called to the scene but found no signs of life. The victim was pronounced dead on site.


Police identified the victim as Malkijah Clark, 21, of Southeast D.C.
