NEW YORK CITY — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 14-year-old boy from the Bronx.

Angel Velasquez was last seen at approximately 2 p.m. Wednesday near 3000 East Tremont Avenue, within the confines of the 43rd Precinct, according to authorities. Velasquez, who lives at 2227 Virgil Place, is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with the words “Renaissance High School,” gray jeans, and carrying a black backpack.


The police have made images of Velasquez available through the DCPI (Deputy Commissioner, Public Information) and are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.

No further details were immediately available, and the NYPD is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Velasquez’s disappearance.
