Teen robbed at Townsend Avenue in Brooklyn; police search for suspect


BROOKLYN, Md. — An 18-year-old woman was robbed while crossing the street on Townsend Avenue on Halloween night, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on October 31 in the 100 block of Townsend Avenue. Police say the young woman was approached by an unidentified man who forcibly grabbed her arm and took her purse before fleeing on foot. The suspect, who was wearing a ski mask, a blue backpack, and white pants, has not been apprehended.

The victim’s phone was later recovered a few blocks from the scene, but the rest of her belongings remain missing. Northern District detectives are actively investigating the incident and are seeking assistance from the public.
