31-year-old man fatally shot in West Philadelphia; police investigate


PHILADELPHIA — A 31-year-old man was shot and killed Tuesday night in West Philadelphia, marking the latest in a series of violent incidents in the area. The shooting occurred around 9:08 p.m. on the 5900 block of Callowhill Street, within the city’s 19th District.

Police said the victim, identified only as a Black male, was struck multiple times across his body. Officers transported him to Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 9:23 p.m.

The crime scene was secured, but no weapon was recovered, and no arrests have been made, authorities confirmed. Police have not yet disclosed a possible motive or any information on suspects in the case.
