Stafford County deputies respond to multiple Halloween assaults involving students and juveniles


STAFFORD, Va. — Stafford County deputies responded to three separate assault incidents on Halloween, two of which occurred at local high schools, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

The first incident took place at Colonial Forge High School on October 31 at approximately 2:05 p.m. Deputy G.M. Lum, who was on duty as the School Resource Officer (SRO), was informed of a fight involving students waiting for the bus. Two students allegedly assaulted a third student. Both alleged aggressors were issued criminal complaints for assault and battery.

A second incident was reported at North Stafford High School less than an hour later, around 2:49 p.m. Deputy R.L. Allen, also serving as the school’s SRO, responded to an assault in the hallway. According to the report, one student punched another while they were walking. A criminal complaint for assault and battery was filed against the alleged assailant.


Later that evening, at approximately 9:17 p.m., Deputy J.J. Holetzky was approached by a woman on Apricot Street who reported that her juvenile son had been assaulted by a group of unknown males. The incident was recorded on video, which has been turned over to the authorities. The investigation into this assault is ongoing.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate these incidents and has not released further details on the condition of the victims or potential disciplinary actions for the students involved.
