Tornado Watch Issued Across Oklahoma and Northeast Texas Until 6 PM



Shreveport, LA – A Tornado Watch has been issued for parts of Oklahoma and Northeast Texas until 6 p.m. CST Monday, raising concerns for residents in both states. The affected areas include McCurtain County in Southeast Oklahoma and several Texas counties, including Red River, Franklin, Titus, and Wood.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a heightened chance for tornadoes, along with scattered hail up to two inches in diameter and wind gusts reaching 70 mph. Residents are advised to stay alert and monitor weather updates as conditions may change rapidly. Schools, businesses, and hospitals in the watch zone may be impacted, affecting a population of more than 10 million.

Weather officials urge residents to review their severe weather plans and be ready to take cover if tornado warnings are issued. The watch covers cities such as Dallas, Tulsa, McKinney, and Sherman, where outdoor activities should be postponed due to possible severe conditions.
