Surveillance photos released for suspects in violent D.C. attack


WASHINGTON, D.C. — Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify several suspects involved in a brutal assault that left one man injured in Northwest D.C. The incident, which took place in the early hours of Sunday, October 27, 2024, is being investigated as a possible hate crime.

At approximately 1:42 a.m., officers responded to reports of an assault in the 1900 block of 14th Street, NW. Upon arrival, they found an adult male victim who reported being attacked by multiple individuals. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Surveillance cameras in the area captured images of the suspects, and the Metropolitan Police Department has released these photos in hopes that community members can help identify them.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. MPD’s Special Liaison Branch is assisting with the investigation as detectives consider a potential hate or bias motivation.
