Goshen, NY – Cameron Williams, a 25-year-old resident of New Windsor, was arraigned on Wednesday in Orange County Court. He faces charges including Murder in the Second Degree following an indictment.
The indictment is connected to a deadly incident on October 13 at approximately 10:45 p.m. in Newburgh. Williams allegedly used several kitchen knives to repeatedly stab a man on West Parmenter Street after an altercation.
Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler commended the Newburgh Police Department for their swift response and investigation leading to Williams’ arrest. The case is being handled by Senior Assistant District Attorney Christopher Kelly.
Williams has been remanded to Orange County Jail with varying bail options and is set to return for a conference on December 4. The district attorney emphasizes that these charges are accusations and that Williams is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
