Gunfire Erupts Early Tuesday Morning in Brooklyn Neighborhood


BROOKLYN, Md. — Police are investigating a non-contact shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning near Belle Grove Road and 10th Avenue in Brooklyn, Maryland. Authorities say that around 4:05 a.m., officers responded to reports of a gunshot after a vehicle was struck by a projectile in the area.

According to the victim, he was driving on Belle Grove Road when he passed a black SUV. Moments later, he heard a gunshot and the sound of a projectile hitting the rear of his vehicle. Upon stopping at a nearby service station to assess the damage, he observed that his vehicle had been struck. The suspect vehicle, a black SUV, was reportedly driven by a Black male in his 20s.

Officers conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident, and the damage appears limited to the vehicle.
