STAFFORD, VA — Authorities responded to two separate assault incidents in Stafford County on Monday evening, both resulting in charges against the suspects involved.
The first incident occurred at 5:30 p.m. on Centreport Parkway near the Amazon facility. According to police, a road rage dispute between a Chevy and a Nissan escalated into a collision and an altercation. The occupants of the Chevy reportedly assaulted the driver of the Nissan. Deputy R.L. Hubbard responded to the scene and charged the two Chevy occupants with assault and battery, assault by mob, and disorderly conduct. Both suspects were released on personal recognizance by the magistrate.
Later that evening, at 7:42 p.m., Deputy R.T. Philippsen responded to a second assault at the Cavalier Skating Center on Richmond Highway. The incident began when a suspect accused another individual of stealing his misplaced AirPods. The suspect forcibly searched the alleged victim before assaulting him. Police arrested the suspect and charged him with assault and battery. He was transported to the Rappahannock Regional Jail, where he was held on a $1,500 secured bond.
Both cases remain under investigation by Stafford County authorities.
