Missouri’s Kansas CityMissouri is experiencing strong winds today, with some areas seeing gusts of up to 45 mph. For northern and northwest Missouri, especially north of Interstate 70, a wind advisory is still in force. Local authorities advise citizens to use caution when driving and to secure any loose outdoor objects.
The National Weather Service (NWS) predicts that throughout the day, winds of 25 to 35 mph will come from the west-northwest, with heavier gusts possible in open and rural regions. Driving along I-70 could be dangerous due to gusts, especially for prominent cars. The caution is anticipated to remain in effect until Wednesday at 6 p.m.
With a high of about 49 degrees in Kansas City and lows of 31 degrees tonight, the temperature will continue to be cold. Although gusts will decrease to about 25 mph during the afternoon, breezy conditions will continue into Thursday.
With clear skies, Thursday’s high is expected to be close to 43 degrees. With a high of 47 degrees and light northwest breezes, Friday’s weather will be a little milder. Clearer skies and a warming trend are forecast for the weekend, with highs of 54 degrees on Saturday and 63 degrees on Sunday.
